After Install Instructions

    • Do not disturb countertops or any mounted sinks for 24 hours minimum.
    • Also, for installation purposes, there might be wood braces, or shims, left to insure that nothing moves until the glue sets up. The shims can be removed after the 24 hour time limit; however, ideally the shims should be left for 48 hours.
    • Another common occurrence is that the silicon, or glue, residue is missed by our guys during clean up due to a camouflaging affect of granite. Sometimes after we finish, there is paint overspray, or grout dirt, from the tile setter. This is very easy to clean. Take a single razor blade and use it as a scraper. Razors will not scratch granite and will be handy for cleaning food residue off the counter in the future.
    • Please do not let Anyone step on the granite counter under any circumstances, especially  around weak spots such as seams, sink cutouts, cook top cutouts. Your countertop will be very susceptible to breakage in these areas. If your countertop cracks or breaks from someone standing on the surface, Take It For Granite, LLC in not liable for these types of damages. Under normal use your counter will be beautiful for a lifetime. (Normal subcontractors that would need to reach above the counter include: trim carpenters, electricians, painters, tile setter, cleaners, etc.)
    • A stone sealer made especially for granite countertops will be provided at the time of installation by Take It For Granite, LLC. Carefully read the instructions and use as instructed. Do not use substitutions without contacting Take It For Granite first. TIFG will educate and help all customers to understand stone care and answer any questions by calling us at 513-735-0555. Also, we are members of the Marble Institute of America (MIA) which has a web site that can answer all questions in detail: www.marble-institute.com.
